Garland, Texas Home Values report for December 2014

There were 142 homes sold in Garland this December, a 10% increase from a month ago. Year-to-date, housing sales are at 2,005, which is a 5% gain compared to the same month last year.

This month, 128 new homes were listed in Garland, a 17% upturn from last month. New home properties listed year-to-date went up 6% relative to the same period last year, with 2,005 homes sold. Listings under contract year-to-date grew 9% compared to the same period last year, with 2,143 properties sold during 2014. During December, there were 129 houses currently listed in Garland, a 21% upturn from the previous month. Year-to-date, the average price for a house was about $147,087, which is a 12% increase compared to the same month last year. The average price for a house this December in Garland gained 12% .

The percentage of original list prices received by buyers in Garland went up 0% during December, with buyers receiving 95% of their list price. On average year-to-date, buyers sold their houses for 97% of their list price, which is a 1% gain from a year ago. So far this year, properties spent an average of 43 days in the market until sold, which is a 17% decrease from a year ago.
