Addison, Texas home sales drop 29% in December 2015

Overall this year, housing sales dropped 7% relative to the same period last year, with 1,800 homes sold. Addison housing sales were at 154 houses this December, which is a 29% decline from a month ago.

Year-to-date new listings are at 2,063 overall. In total for this year, housing sales dipped 10% compared to the same month last year. New real estate listings during December in Addison declined 13%, with 88 properties listed this month. Cumulatively this year, homes sold fell 7% compared to the same month last year, with 1,684 houses sold. Addison listings under contract were at 79 properties this month, a 26% decrease from the previous month. The average price for a house in Addison fell 14% during December . So far this year, housing sales went up 5% relative to the same month last year, the average home sales price being $344,328.

Percentage of original list prices received cumulatively this year rose 1% compared to the same period last year, with buyers receiving 97% of their list price. The percentage of asking price received in Addison climbed 0% in December of this year, with buyers receiving 97% of their listed price. Year-to-date, home sales declined 14% relative to the same period last year, at 33 days on market until sale. On average, homes spent 35 days in the market until sold, a 18% decline from last month. This month, the current supply of active listings on the market was 200 properties, which is a 22% decline from a month ago. The month supply of homes in December 2015 in Addison dipped 17%, with a 1.4 month supply of houses.
